PIANO LESSONS
Pianists range in age from 6 through adults. I teach beginner through intermediate students to play in a variety of styles and genres including classical, pop, rock, standards, etc. We work on technique, artistry, music reading, how to read lead sheets, music theory, ear training, and more. As students advance, we focus in on music that inspires them. I adjust my teaching methods for each individual, since everyone comes with different experiences and strengths.
I also offer specialized instruction for singers. We can work on practical skills like playing the melody of a song to help with learning a part, reading chord charts, and accompanying yourself or other singers.
Students can choose to participate in recitals throughout the year. Some students also participate in assessments like the Royal Conservatory exams.
