How to use the Online Calendar and tuition portal

Do you need to reschedule a lesson? Do you have a makeup credit to use? Want to update your tuition payment method? Wondering when summer break is? All these questions lead to the online portal. We use My Music Staff online software to keep track of it all.

How do I login?

No matter what you want to do, the first step is to login. All current students and/or their parents have a login and if you can’t remember it, you can request the system to reset it. Not sure which email you used to sign up? Check in with Rebecca, she can let you know, or even change the email. Once you’ve logged in, you can use the calendar, see how many makeup credits you have, change payment methods, and more.

How do I cancel a lesson?

  • First login at rebeccaricemusic.com/login

  • Navigate to the Calendar from the menu (it will likely bring you there automatically after you login).

  • You can view the calendar by day, week or month using the button on the top right, and move forward or back in time using the arrows at the top left. You can also customize the things you can see.

  • You will see several things on the calendar including your lesson time with the student name, the week in each monthly tuition cycle (ex: Week 1), schedule breaks, recitals, and open lesson spots.

  • Find the lesson you will miss and click on it.

  • Click on “cancel attendance” (or a red person icon in mobile).

  • Read through the policy text and click “yes” to confirm. There is an option to add a note to teacher, if you like (if you are sick or have an unforeseen emergency you can tell me here).

  • If it’s at least 48 hours before your lesson you’ll automatically get a makeup credit to use within 120 days.

  • Please keep makeups to fewer than 2 per quarter (the system won’t give you a credit if you’ve gone over). More are allowed during the summer. Please look over the Studio Lesson Polices for all the info related to this.

How do I schedule a Makeup Lesson?

  • First login at rebeccaricemusic.com/login

  • If you need to see if you have a makeup credit, you can navigate to the Home section, where you’ll see all sorts of great info.

  • Navigate to the Calendar from the menu (it will likely bring you there automatically after you login).

  • Look for a blue open spot with a recycle symbol. These can be 15, 30, or 45 min spots. You can combine spots to make a longer lesson (ex: register for 2 15-min spots side-by-side to make a 30-min lesson), but you can’t register for a longer spot than you have credit for.

  • Once you find a spot (or spots) that work, click on it and hit “register” in the event pop-up (if you’re on mobile, a green person icon). Then click OK to complete the registration.

  • If nothing works at first, check back regularly. Remember that spots open up when others cancel, and people mostly think about their week on Sunday and Monday.

How do I update my payment info?

  • First login at rebeccaricemusic.com/login

  • Click on the account name (usually your name) in the top right corner.

  • In the Payment Options box click on the card you need to update. Make the updates and make sure “auto pay” is checked.

  • You can also add a new card or bank account to the system here.

You can also use this system to review lesson notes, keep track of practicing, and see any news updates.
