Rebecca (she/her) is a music educator and performer with a passion for sharing music with everyone. She has lived, performed, and taught all over the US, including in New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, Illinois, Tennessee, Missouri, Kansas, California, and Oregon. She holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in Voice from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where she focused on performing new music and French baroque music, as well as standard art song and operatic repertoire. A Master of Music in Vocal Pedagogy from Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University gave her the opportunity to hone her teaching skills. Though she primarily trained as a classical singer, her voice, piano, and ukulele students work in a wide range of styles, including musical theater, classical, opera, jazz, and contemporary popular genres. Rebecca has been teaching for more than 25 years, and serves on the board of the music ed. non-profit Music Tree. She lives in the Portland area where she spends non-music time outdoors.
